Co-workers, friends and well-wishers are invited to say goodbye to a long-time Lake County banker on Friday, September 28, 2018. Senior Vice President/Area Manager, Andy Meinhold, is retiring from ERIEBANK after 40 years in banking.
“Andy is the consummate bank professional and has had a long and illustrious banking career,” stated David Zimmer, President of ERIEBANK. “We are fortunate to have had Andy as a part of the ERIEBANK team and send well wishes for his retirement.”
The public is welcome to stop by to greet the ERIEBANK staff and Mr. Meinhold between 9am and 6pm on Friday, September 28, at their 7402 Center Street location.
Mr. Meinhold is a graduate of Hiram College and prior to his position at ERIEBANK, was the President of Lake National Bank, where he also previously served as the Bank’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Lending. He was with Lake National Bank from 2007 until its acquisition by CNB Financial Corporation in July 2016.
Before joining Lake National Bank, Mr. Meinhold was a consultant with Brode Financial Services, providing compliance, strategic planning and operational assistance to community banks. His banking career includes being the Geauga County Community Bank President for Huntington National Bank, the Executive Vice President of Great Lakes Bank in Mentor, Ohio, the President of First County Bank in Chardon, Ohio and the Chief Operating Officer of People’s Savings Bank in Ashtabula, Ohio. Andy began his banking career in 1976 at Mentor Savings Bank in Mentor, Ohio.
Mr. Meinhold has long been involved in a number of community activities in Lake and Geauga County including being a Trustee with Leadership Lake County, a member of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, as well as a board member of The Lakeland Foundation and the Lake County Development Council. He is a current member and Past President of the Mentor Rotary Club, a 1988 member of the Leadership Lake County class, a 2003 member of Geauga Leadership and the 2016 Lake County Leader of the Year. He has served as a member of the Geauga Revolving Loan Committee and was the Co-Chairperson of the 2004 and 2005 Geauga United Way campaigns.
As successor, Tim Flenner will take on the leadership role of Lake County Area Manager. Mr. Flenner is a graduate of Grove City College and began his banking career at Lake National Bank in 2005 as Vice President/Lending. He volunteers his time as Director of the Perry Economic Development District, Lake County Planning Commission, and Business Advisory Council for Perry Local Schools. He is also a Leadership Lake County Alumni.
