Dr. Jeffress Appointed to ERIEBANK Board of Advisors


Andrea_Jeffries_portrait_4x6_300-0545.jpgDavid J. Zimmer, President of ERIEBANK, recently announced that Dr. Andrea Jeffress has been elected to the ERIEBANK Board of Advisors. In this capacity, she will provide leadership and guidance as ERIEBANK continues to develop in northwest Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio. 

“We are extremely pleased to add Dr. Jeffress to our Board of Advisors,” said Mr. Zimmer.  “She brings a unique skill set with her experiences as a physician, business person, entrepreneur, and author.”
Dr. Jeffress has been in practice with OB/GYN Associates of Erie since 2000.  Originally from Wilmington, DE, she received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.  She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. 
Dr. Jeffress currently resides in Erie with her husband, William, and their children, Adrianna, Jasmine, and William Jr.  She serves the community as a member of the Mercyhurst University Board of Trustees, Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter Board of Directors, and volunteers on the Physical and Mental Health Committee for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and advocates for the Booker T. Washington Center-Mercyhurst Campus. Additionally, she is the author of “Smart Jocks: 10 Lessons Along Our Journey to Raise #1 Draft Picks On and Off the Court” and is editor and contributor of the book, “Women All Over the World – It’s Your Time!”
Regarding her appointment to the ERIEBANK Board of Advisors, Dr. Jeffress stated, “I am overjoyed and honored to be part of such an extraordinary legacy; from start up to contender, it’s going to be an amazing experience.”
