ERIEBANK to Enter Cleveland Market, Names Gillespie as Regional President

Gillespie-photo.jpgERIEBANK will expand into the metro Cleveland market in 2019 and has appointed local banking executive, Wesley Gillespie, as Regional President to lead that initiative, announced David Zimmer, ERIEBANK President.

Mr. Gillespie will spearhead a unique approach to banking to businesses for ERIEBANK where he will serve as a hands on decision maker and advisor.  He will work with area business owners and executives seeking timely, and in many cases, same day decisions for their capital and operating fund needs.

“Wesley has been an integral part of the banking industry in Northeast Ohio and that experience enables him to understand the local business customer needs,” Mr. Zimmer said. “This ability to be a hands-on decision maker will help local companies quickly fund building expansions, new equipment, and working capital requirements.”

Prior to joining ERIEBANK, Gillespie held positions at other local financial institutions that included Vice President and Commercial Market Leader, and Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Business Banking.

ERIEBANK’s services include commercial lending, treasury management and other business financial tools – such as remote deposit, mobile banking, ACH, wire services, credit cards, and merchant services.

Wesley is a current resident of Twinsburg, Ohio where he resides with his wife, Desiree, and daughter, Selena. He is a member of the New Community Bible Fellowship; serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Growth Capital Corporation of Cleveland; is a Board Member of Shoes & Clothes, and a graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders.

ERIEBANK, a division of CNB Bank, is a $3.1 billion bank that has been and will continue to be developed by local business and community leaders. The local decision-making provided by ERIEBANK offers a high level of dedication and service to the communities within northwest Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio.
